Breeze Airways has become one of the most popular international airlines in the United States over the past several years, offering flight service to European cities and beyond. And if you’re planning to fly with Breeze, you’ll definitely want to take a look at their baggage policy. With so many different airlines out there, it can be hard to know exactly what you’re getting into when you travel with your bags. Breeze baggage policy may be helpful in explaining some of the ins and outs of the airline and how they handle your bags during travel.
No Baggage Restrictions Breeze Airways
If you’re heading to or from a Breeze Airways destination, there are no baggage restrictions. There is no charge for any bags up to 50 pounds and you can also bring up to two pieces of checked baggage (up to 100 pounds each). Don’t have time to pack everything into one bag? Don’t worry; checking multiple bags is free of charge.
20 Kilos Carry on Allowance
Your carry-on baggage allowance will be subject to availability of space in overhead bins. If overhead bins are full, your carry-on baggage may have to be checked into a cargo hold. Checked luggage cannot be delivered to your destination and must instead go through customs which could delay delivery. Delayed or lost baggage will not qualify for compensation under Breeze Airway travel policy. If you wish to avoid these risks, we advise that you bring only what you need for your flight in hand luggage and check any excess items at home before travelling.
5 Free Checked Bags
With Breeze Airways customers services can bring five bags that weigh a total of no more than 50 pounds each. In addition to their personal items, which are not included in baggage weight limits, customers can bring up to an additional five checked bags on international flights; there is no limit for domestic trips. Customers with more than two pieces of luggage may need to pay extra fees.
10kg Overweight Item Allowance
Under most circumstances, when you fly with Breeze Airways, you’re allowed to bring one piece of luggage that weighs up to 23kg and a second bag that weighs no more than 10kg. You will be charged for any extra weight over 23kg if you go over your limit. Items like skis, golf clubs and musical instruments count towards your excess baggage allowance as well, however there is no additional charge incurred by their presence. In other words, they will not have an effect on your normal baggage weight allowance. Sporting goods such as balls and nets do not count towards your total luggage weight.
Excess Baggage Charges
A passenger can travel with a baggage allowance of up to 2 x 23kg (50 lbs) total. Anything above that will be charged at $10 per kg over per flight segment. For example, if you check-in 2 x 29kg bags on your flight from London to Paris, you’ll pay $60 in excess baggage charges. The weight of each bag cannot exceed 23kg (50 lbs). Breeze Airways baggage policy also allows one small item such as a purse or laptop bag, which does not count towards your luggage allowance but must fit under your seat and in front of it on take-off and landing. These items may not be larger than 56 x 40 x 20 cm (22′′x16′′x8′′).
ETP (Excess/Unused Baggage) Insurance
ETP insurance is subject to a limited liability of S$50.00 per person in excess of free baggage allowance and an excess fee will be charged for each piece of ETP luggage. ETP baggage cannot exceed 62 linear inches or weigh more than 50 pounds and 2 pieces per passenger are allowed. Eligible ETP bags can be claimed at any time during your trip, at any destination or on arrival at home. Claims made later than four weeks after your trip end date will not be honored by Breeze Airways.
